Healing Tide Tribe

Coastal wellbeing and creative gatherings for women in South Africa.

A sanctuary in the making

Healing Tide Tribe is a collaborative sanctuary for creative renewal, nature immersion and soul restoration. We gather women in close-knit circles by the sea: not formal lectures, but gently facilitated spaces of authentic connection and mutual support, where you can lay down what is heavy and remember who you came here to be.

Our first pilot gathering is being shaped with care. Join the founding circle to hear about it first.

Our gatherings are creative and restorative experiences. They are not medical or psychological treatment and don't replace care from a health professional.

The Tides

The tide embodies natural balance. It ebbs to release what is heavy, and flows back in with renewal, calm clarity and grounding.

I

Release

Like the ebbing tide, we let go. Through breath, creative expression and honest circle sharing, what has been carried too long is given room to move.

II

Restore

Coastal walks, wholesome nourishment, stillness and gentle movement help you slow down and come back to yourself.

III

Rise

Like the incoming tide, we return renewed: with clarity, a steadier voice and something tangible to carry home.

Our Approach

Four pillars, woven into one integrated experience.

Photographs are illustrative, chosen to evoke the gatherings we are creating.

Ocean & Nature Immersion

Coastal barefoot walks, ocean-air breathwork, natural stillness and sensory grounding. The sea sets the rhythm, and we follow it.

Creative Soul-Work

Tactile art sessions and intuitive textured painting with palette knives and rich pigment, alongside reflective journaling. There is no critique and no expectation of skill: bypassing the thinking mind lets what is unspoken move out through the hands.

Mindful Body & Nutrition

Fresh wholesome juices, vibrant plant-forward menus, herbal teas and gentle movement, so the body is cared for as tenderly as the heart.

Cheryl

Creative Direction & Ambiance

A published author, illustrator and intuitive painter, Cheryl moves between story, colour and pattern. She sees every woman's journey not as a set of problems to fix but as an unfolding myth, and brings warm South African earthiness and playful irreverence to a studio where women can lay down their armour.

She holds the artistic vision of Healing Tide Tribe: the textured art sessions, the themes of each gathering, the look and feel of the space, and the storytelling that runs through it all.

“Like the tide, we return to ourselves:
naturally, softly, and together.”
